Steve Jobs the freedom fighter
There is a reason that APPLE computers have kept progressing and remained in business even though PC’s were taking over and it is not for the reasons you may think: STEVE JOBS saw the PC for what it was - a government controlled manipulation machine.
Steve saw BIG BROTHER’S grasp getting stronger and stronger through the mass distribution of the PC, and he saw the masses falling right into the trap. If it wasn’t for the introduction of the Mac we’d have big brother telling us what to do every second of the day through an un-stylish beige monitor stationed in every room of every home and office building.
The fight for freedom is not over but the Apple revolution is gaining strength. People think Steve Jobs keynote address at every MAC EXPO is to introduce new products but that’s just a cover. In actuality, it’s coded information for REVOLUTIONARIES world wide. Listen and learn.

I agree. I’ve been a Mac driver for almost 15 years. I never owned a PC [though I use them at work, to my grievous detriment - and that's not hyperbole].
Steve Jobs is much more than an executive selling a product. The man promotes excellence.
He sold Pixar to Disney. All movies Pixar made have been a success. That is not a coincidence. It is the love of making something truly good.
As with the computers and the fantastic system running on them, Steve Jobs demands great performance of his people and the products show just how good we can make things.
If Steve Jobs had not been around, the idea that a computer could be anything else than a beige box with components in it would probably ingrained in us so deep that we couldn’t imagine it any other way.
Oh, and they also wouldn’t have proportional fonts [or else it would have been introduced by Adobe maybe as a sensational revolution.] Steve Jobs is singlehandedly responsible for proportional fonts.
